Bespoke Torchieres
The client here wanted two artful pieces to flank the main entryway of the home, so when shopping for a couple readymade pieces we found two beautiful blown glass lamps. I suggested doing two matching bespoke pedestals for them. My client loved the idea and I created a design that complimented the contemporary homes architecture and the client’s interest in the style of Frank Lloyd Whright. I found a finish carpenter to built the design in maple and I did the surface finishes. The doors of this entryway have a sidelight on each side, so, the final result was quite dramatic from the exterior as well as from the interior.
